Kathryn Johnstone

Kathryn Johnstone is the owner of KJ Folk Music, specialising in ceilidhs and solo bagpipe performances. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and runs workshops to help musicians of all levels build confidence and connect with folk traditions. Kathryn is excited to be leading a highland bagpipes workshop at Chippenham Folk Festival this year. She is looking forward to sharing the unique power of the bagpipes and help participants develop their skills. As the leader of KJ Ceilidhs, Kathryn and her talented band perform across the UK, using the bagpipes to bring power and energy to their ceilidhs, ensuring every event is vibrant and memorable.
