Rosie Upton who is based in the West Country but grew up in Derbyshire has spent more than 40 years on the folk circuit and has developed an individual style based on English, Scots and Irish traditional songs and even a few bawdy ballads. Her rich voice is particularly well suited to the occasional blues as well as hard-hitting songs of social and political comment. She combines passion and integrity with an entertaining presentation. She has spent more than half a century singing folk songs, writing about folk music including 25 years previously writing a column and reviewing concerts for Bath Chronicle as well as running various clubs and events including Bath Traditional Folk Song Club and Trowbridge Village Pump.
