Joshua and Benjamin Rowe, Ali Messer & David Ledsam

Joshua and Benjamin Rowe, Ali Messer & David Ledsam will be leading the festival band and playing for the callers' showcase.

Joshua came from the future to study historical folk dance from the 21st Century. So far they haven't been able to get back and have been playing fiddle for dancing in the meantime.

Benjamin also plays fiddle, with bands including Contrasaurus, Bearded Dragons, and Knotted Chord.

Ali plays piano and accordion, and when playing for dancing likes Chick Corea's rule no 11: Play to make the other musicians sound good. Play things that will make the overall music sound good! (photo of Ali taken by Timmy Pillinger)

Leddy can be heard playing cello, basses, concertinas and very occasionally tuba behind many bands. In another life he plays and dances with Stone Monkey Sword Dancers.
