Ticket Terms & Conditions

Ticket Purchase

The festival’s only authorised ticket agent is Citizen Ticket Ltd. Do not buy tickets from other third-party sources, as we cannot guarantee entry or ensure these tickets are genuine.

Upon booking your ticket(s) through our partner ticket agent, Citizen Ticket, you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions in addition to any Terms and Conditions specified by Citizen Ticket. You will be emailed a Booking Confirmation upon purchase and E-tickets before the event.

All tickets are strictly non-transferable.

Refunds

All tickets are non-refundable except if the festival is cancelled.

We shall only be required to refund the face value of the ticket where the festival is cancelled or postponed before it is started, or as required by applicable law.

In the event of postponement of the festival before it has started, and where it is rescheduled to another date, the ticket holder may elect to either use the existing ticket for the rescheduled date or apply for a refund. Refunds under these circumstances must be applied for within 3 months of the date of cancellation/postponement via our ticket provider, Citizen Ticket. Any refund requests must be made by the original purchaser of the ticket.

If the festival is cancelled or postponed before it has started due to a national pandemic, then you will be eligible for a refund in line with the above. Where the festival is rescheduled to another date, the ticket holder may elect to either use the existing ticket for the rescheduled date or apply for a refund. Refunds under these circumstances must be applied for within 3 months of the date of cancellation/postponement via our ticket provider, Citizen Ticket. Any refund requests must be made by the original purchaser of the ticket.

In the event of a refund, only the face value of the ticket will be refunded and not the booking fee.

Ticket Insurance

When you purchase your ticket, you will be offered the opportunity to take out ticket insurance with TicketPlan. This allows you to get a refund should you wish to cancel your ticket for any reason including accident, illness (including Covid) or other unforeseen circumstances. Please note you can only buy this at the point of purchase. Please refer to TicketPlan T&Cs on the checkout page.

Festival Entry

Tickets are in the form of barcodes and will be scanned at the Box Office; once a barcode has been scanned and swapped for a wristband it cannot be used again. Invalid or duplicate barcodes will not be allowed entry festival events.

Wristbands removed from the wrist, tampered with, lost or missing will be rendered invalid and will not be replaced. Those without valid wristbands will not be allowed entrance to venues.

Personal Assistant Tickets

Personal Assistant (PA) tickets must be agreed in advance on receipt of relevant proof of eligibility, the PA will receive an e-ticket in their name and must provide valid ID on entry.

Personal Assistants must be over 18 to accompany an adult ticket holder or children or teens acting as carers must also be accompanied by a responsible adult other than the adult they are directly caring for.

One Adult Festival Entry ticket must be purchased before a PA ticket can be added to the order.

Right of Admission

To ensure the safety and security of all festival goers, the Organisers and the Premises Licence Holder reserve the right to refuse admission and to evict individuals from site.

We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any person where there are safeguarding concerns, safety risks, or reasons to believe their attendance may compromise the well-being of children, families, or other attendees. This includes attempts by individuals subject to legal restrictions or on the Sex Offenders Register to attend.

No admission without a valid e-ticket.

We reserve the right to make alterations to the time, date, duration, venue or artists of the festival in the event of unforeseen or other circumstances, including (but without limitation) Force Majeure, safety and security concerns or decisions from authorised persons or other competent authority.

Weekend and Day tickets give free entry to all events covered by the duration of the ticket, subject to capacity. Some event where capacity is limited, e.g. Aquelidh, my require booking aplace with the Box Office in advance.

Children under 10 are free to attend festival events but must have a child ticket, available from Citizen Ticket, and be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Dogs, except assistance dogs, will not be permitted in festival venues, with the exception of Island Park.

Loss, Injury and Damages

Admission is at the ticket holder’s own risk. The Organisers and Premises Licence Holder will not be held liable for any loss, injuries or damages sustained at the event including damage, theft or losses to property and motor vehicles, if the cause is due to the negligence of the ticket holder or the unforeseeable actions of other patrons or third parties.

Use of your Data

When purchasing your ticket, you will be asked to provide your customer details, including a contact mobile telephone number. Chippenham Folk Festival do not store any purchaser data on our website and do not use cookies for any purchase transactions. For details of these refer to the Citizen Ticket privacy policy. Ticket holders may be photographed, filmed and sound recorded as part of the audience at the event.

Amendments

We reserve the right to alter or amend these terms and conditions without prior notification.
