Get Involved
The festival is entirely reliant on a dedicated army of brilliant volunteers all who give up their time and provide their skills and expertise to the event free of charge. 2025's event runs from Fri 23rd May 2025 to Mon 26th May 2025, there are many different ways in which you can get involved...

Volunteers get free tickets, camping and a discount on all festival merchandise.

Task Force

Setting up stages, marques, notices, banners, road barriers etc.

Our taskforce crew look after all the infrastructure during the festival's build and break, and during the event itself. We are looking for carpenters, electricians, plumbers, set designers and builders, radio comms specialists and drivers.

Litter Pickers

Keep Island park tidy

Come and join our litter-picking team which keeps Island Park clean and pleasant for all festival-goers, and enjoy events happening around you. The bags of rubbish are heavy but shifts only cover 9am to 6pm so all your evenings are free.

Stewarding

Mainly venue stewards although we will be looking for a few collectors too, also venue managers

Come join our close knit stewarding family!

Stewards make the festival run smoothly covering venue management, assisting attendees and troubleshooting. Volunteering will give you a great opportunity to meet new friends, learn new skills and add new experiences to your CV.

Shop

Selling the official festival range of clothing and souvenirs from our new shop

Communication

The comms Team work to keep everyone in contact with event control, Co-ordinating any incidents that may happen within the festival

Family and Community

The Family and Community team take care of our public-facing programme of family and community events

The Family and Community team take care of our public-facing programme of family and community events around Island park. Allowing children and young people to get involved in creative, traditional arts during the festival.

Collecting from displays, free events and crowds in general. Selling programmes.

Artist Reception

Meeting and greeting artists, handing out artist tickets and documentation.

Other Roles

Volunteering roles that don't come under other headings such as schools day and admin roles
