Where:Rose and Crown
The Rose and Crown has sadly closed down this year. It was recently announced that the venue is under a 6 week consultation to find a community interest owner ahead of its sale. You can read more on this: Here

The Rose and Crown has long been home to Morris dancing during the day and sessions into the early hours. We are sad to see the business and venue closed and hope they will be revived in the future.

The dance spot lives on. The forecourt will still be used as a dance spot with the Waverley just opposite the war memorial to refresh thirsty dancers and spectators, Public toilets are behind the pub in the bus station.

The Three Crowns, just a short walk away up the Causeway, will be welcoming musicians looking for sessions over the weekend.
The Wine Monkey in the Borough Parade, back towards the bridge also welcomes musicians and singers for informal sessions.
The Old Road Tavern will be pleased to welcome visiting musicians looking for an Irish session.

Please see the sessions page for a list of welcoming venues.

The North British Sword Dancers
We perform rapper and longsword dances from Scotland, the Isle of Man, and Northern England (but not Yorkshire) with, we are told, style and panache.
Chippenham
Our local Cotswold Morris. Widely travelled stars of TV, film and pop video, they have been going nearly as long as the festival itself.

Steampunk morris
The name says it all! Morris dancing in an unwritten alternative future. Mostly modern tunes.
Yateley Morris Men
The Yateley Morris Men have been in action since 1975 and are based in Yateley, a village tucked away in the North East corner of Hampshire. However, our members come from a wide catchment area.

Hips and Haws
Hips and Haws are a Chippenham-based female Clog morris dance side who perform dances in their own style, and some step dancing traditions.
Rag Morris
Rag Morris is a vibrant and enthusiastic morris side based in Bristol. We dance mainly Cotswold traditions, with just a dash of the Welsh Borders, and you can easily spot us in our eclectic multicoloured tatterjackets and bells.

Sussex Junction Morris
Sussex Junction are an energetic mixed Cotswold Morris from across Sussex. They dance a variety of dances with their own unique twists. You won’t miss them in bright blue and yellow.
