The Downfielders

Downfielders are a folk and barn dance band based around the Downfield schools (Marling and Stroud High) in Stroud, Gloucestershire. With a constant turnover of students in the line up the band has been running for 40 years. The band was set up as a staff/student venture by the late Pete Hendy who we sadly lost in 2021. Since the pandemic, Jeff Gillett has been working with a new cohort of students from the schools to revive the band.
