Frances Oates

Frances began dancing as a teenager in Cornwall and started calling a few years later. She has called at all types of events – barn dances, christenings, weddings and wakes and has travelled widely to call at festivals and residential weekends, both home and abroad. She likes to dance and call a mixture of styles, English/Playford and American and firmly believes dancing is a social activity that should be fun as well as informative and the best way to keep physically and mentally fit. Frances regularly calls at clubs in Cornwall and Devon and is the resident caller for the Illogan Folk Dance Club. She has been the Minutes Secretary for the Board of Directors at Halsway Manor.
