Prince Edward Island’s The East Pointers continue to redefine themselves. Their dancefloor-shaking, electro-trad glorious combination of folk/pop sounds has already seen them acknowledged as musical trailblazers internationally. Their debut album Secret Victory won the 2017 JUNO Award for Traditional Roots Recording of the Year. Their 2023 EP House Of Dreams was nominated for a JUNO Award and won Contemporary Roots Recording of the Year, Group Recording of the Year and Pop Recording of the Year at the 2023 East Coast Music Awards.. Their latest EP, Safe In Sound, was released in November 2023 and it too was a triple award winner at the ECMAs.
Andrew is one of the few callers who is well-respected in Ceilidh, Contra and Playford circles alike. He has done considerable research into the early Playford dances.
Bernie Culkin is a dance teacher and caller based in Cheshire in the UK, who loves the dances of Playford as well as modern choreographies in the Playford style.
Geoff is well known as a caller for American Squares and Contra and English Ceilidh. He enjoys being helpful to beginners as well as extending expert dancers
